The former \u201cSnaga i svetlost\u201d power plant, the portal crane and the pumping station, once used for coal transportation and water supply, have been preserved instead of being removed. The crane and pumping station will become part of Marina Dor\u0107ol, while the power plant will remain under the responsibility of the public sector. Following reconstruction, the crane will stand as a monumental sculpture at the heart of the public park, while the pumping station will be given a new purpose alongside the planned pontoons, replacing traditional mooring solutions, an approach that protects the river from pollution and provides everyone with direct access to the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The riverside promenade and cycling path along the Danube will also be extended.
This is a brownfield development where industrial heritage is not an obstacle, but the starting point. The layout of the new neighbourhood has been designed to preserve the elements that already existed on this site. This approach restores Dor\u0107ol\u2019s identity while making the area open and accessible to all citizens of Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
