Dubravka Rabrenović, a civil engineer with a master’s degree and Project Coordinator for Marina Dorćol at SEBRE, spoke to eKapija about everything that happens before future residents move in.

According to her, most of the work on a project of this complexity happens before any result becomes visible on site: aligning project documentation, coordinating every discipline involved, and making timely decisions. A particular challenge lies in the segments that stay invisible to future residents, such as integrating geothermal probes, heat pumps, and ventilation and heat recovery systems, as well as working with natural and imprint concrete, where every detail has to be coordinated as early as the construction phase.

Shared spaces and amenities are also a major part of the story, requiring construction, infrastructure, and landscaping works to be carefully coordinated, along with building the riverbank reinforcement along the Danube itself. Dubravka points out that the complex’s quality comes not only from the materials chosen, but also from precision in execution and the ability to bring countless elements together into one functional whole.
